Field collections
The centre meeting, keyed in once and balanced.
The field officer's sheet and the branch's books cannot disagree. Fused works the sheet out for the meeting date, and the officer keys it back as one batch that must equal the cash counted, or nothing is written.
| Borrower | Due | Savings | Collected |
|---|---|---|---|
| R. Kumari | 2,450.00 | 200.00 | 2,650.00 |
| S. Nadarajah | 1,980.00 | 200.00 | 2,180.00 |
| M. Hameed | 2,450.00 | 200.00 | 2,000.00 |
Lines come to LKR 6,830.00, equal to the cash counted.
What it does
Worked out for each meeting
The sheet is derived for the meeting date and never stored: what each loan owes that day and what was overdue the day before, grouped by group and then borrower.
One batch, all or nothing
The officer declares the cash counted and keys the lines. If they do not come to that figure exactly, the batch is refused, naming the difference.
Every refusal in one pass
Every line is attempted and every refusal is listed together, so a correction takes one pass, not forty. The whole batch then rolls back.
One receipt per borrower
A borrower who handed over one banknote gets one receipt, whatever the sheet's rows say. Each receipt carries the batch it came from.
Compulsory savings in a second column
The officer keys one amount per member. The loan takes what it is due first, and savings take the rest.
Groups and centres you define
A hierarchy of your own levels with dated membership, roles held one at a time, and the responsible officer kept as dated periods.
What it refuses
A control is only a control if the system enforces it.
- Fused refuses a batch whose lines differ from the cash the officer declared.
- Fused refuses half a batch: if one line is refused, nothing is written.
- Fused refuses reversing part of a batch, which goes back whole or not at all.
- Fused refuses a second group membership while membership is exclusive.
The rules underneath
The detail your finance and IT teams will ask about.
- Due and overdue
- Due is what is outstanding on the meeting date; overdue is the same question asked of the day before.
- Declared total
- The lines must sum exactly to the cash the officer declares.
- Batch size
- At most 200 lines, written in one transaction.
- Split
- Loan first, then compulsory savings with the remainder.
- Amounts over the due
- A line is not capped at what was due; the loan's own allocation order decides where the rest goes.
- Stale sheets
- Every line is checked before any settles, so a sheet generated on Monday and keyed on Wednesday writes nothing and takes no receipt number if it no longer fits.
Works with
- Branch counterReceipts and vouchers from gap-free branch series, tills counted by denomination, mirror reversals and bank reconciliation.
- Clients and KYCNIC-aware client records, groups and centres, KYC documents with verification, custom fields and CSV import.
- Savings and depositsPassbook savings, fixed and recurring deposits, holds, blocks and dormancy, with every balance derived from transactions.
Field collections: questions
What happens if one line on the sheet is wrong?
The batch is refused and every problem line is listed at once. The officer corrects them and posts again; nothing was written in between.
Can a group borrow as one?
Yes. An application names one borrower, a client or a group, and a group borrows as one: one principal, one schedule, one balance.
Is there a mobile app for field officers?
Fused runs in a web browser, and there is no separate mobile app. An offline field app is on the roadmap.
